180 YTH was designed and created to help your teenager grow. We serve students from the ages of 12-18 (6th grade - 12th grade). We believe these are some of the most crucial years for your child, and the decisions they make during these years can impact them well into adulthood. That is why we focus on their growth as an individual.
Our mission is to help our students grow in three main areas
This is the centerfold of everything we do. To walk a Christian life, we must build our relationship with God through understanding the gospel, an active prayer life, reading the word of God, and strengthening our commitment to the Lord.
1
Grow with God
We stress relationship in everything we do. We are called to love God and love people. We see ourselves as a family. We look out for one another, build each other up through prayer and encouragement, and help each other out as we navigate these important teenage years.
2
Grow with each other
The order of these priorities must be stressed. Growth in numbers simply can’t happen if we don’t grow with God and grow with Each Other first. This is a bonus for us. We want to see our young people bring more young people to know Jesus. We believe in empowering our young people to speak boldly about their relationship with Jesus, so they can encourage their friends to also have that experience in their lives.
3
Grow in numbers
Our vision and key verse for our group lines up with 2 Corinthians 5:17 which says, “This means that anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. The old life is gone; a new life has begun!” We teach our students to do a 180 from their old life and turn towards Jesus and become a new person with Him.
We would love to have you come visit us. We hold weekly bible study services during our main service time @10am where we focus on a different series topic every month from the well respected “Grow Curriculum.” We have a time of breaking the ice, going through the study, and having small group discussion about what we learned. We also hold monthly youth services where we have games, food, praise and worship, and a message just for youth. Lastly, we try to incorporate a lot of fun and schedule a unique and fun event almost every month. Times, dates, and updated info are posted on Instagram.
Find us on Facebook or Instagram for updates along the way. For any questions, feel free to email the Youth Pastor, Billy Carr or send a direct message on the 180 Instagram page.
